The gospel song is based off Waters showdown with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) appeared on ABC’s “The View,” and participated in a gospel song that was based on Waters’ recent showdown with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
During a recent House Financial Services Committee hearing, Waters and Mnuchin had a testy exchange during which Waters repeated over and over again, “reclaiming my time.”
This exchange inspired YouTube user Mykal Kilgore to make a gospel song about the exchange.
“Our beloved ‘Auntie’ Maxine Waters laid this sermon down so good that I had to sing about it!” Kilgore wrote in the video description.
“The View” surprised Waters with a performance by Kilgore on Friday that had the whole audience up and clapping along.
