Despite being diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign did not disclose that diagnosis until Sunday afternoon, following an episode Sunday morning in which Clinton appeared to stumble and nearly collapse during a September 11th ceremony. The pneumonia diagnosis has sidelined Clinton, who has canceled appearances at events through Wednesday.
NBC’s Andrea Mitchell commented on the level of secrecy in the Clinton campaign saying, “After she had an exam on Friday morning, they had an affirmative obligation to tell us about the diagnosis of pneumonia.”
Mitchell went on to say “I’m sorry, there is an obligation–not written, not in law– but there’s an obligation.”
