MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said that she hoped Democrats would one day find someone to lead the party during a segment about Saturday’s Women’s March.
Brzezinski seemed stunned to learn that candidates vying to become the next Democratic National Committee Chair skipped the Women’s March to attend a fundraiser.
Time Magazine’s Nancy Gibbs was asked by Brzezinski to name three leaders that emerged from Saturday’s Women’s March.
“The people running to run the Democratic Party were not there. Five out of six of the candidates were not at the March. They were out of town at a fundraiser,” Gibbs told Brzezinski.
“Wow, at a fundraiser,” said a stunned Brzezinski. “Hopefully they get a leader some day.”
