Mike Pence: The Era of Strategic Patience is Over

Vice President Mike Pence declared that the era of strategic patience is over when it comes to dealing with North Korea during an interview on Monday.

Vice President Mike Pence declared that the era of strategic patience is over when it comes to dealing with North Korea during an interview on Monday.

CBS’ Charlie Rose asked Pence to explain how the Trump administration is going to address the threat that North Korea poses to the world.

“It’s a very tense time,” Pence conceded to Rose.

Pence went on to say, though, that President Trump has made it clear to the North Koreans that, “the era of strategic patience is over.”

Pence stressed the importance of working with China and allies in the region to resolve the North Korean crisis peacefully, but said that all options are on the table.

“We also made it clear all options are on the table. In actions the world has seen the president take, in Syria and Afghanistan, President Trump in a very real way has restored the credibility of American power,” Pence concluded.
