State Rep. Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-MO) said in August she hoped Trump would be assassinated.
State Rep. Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-MO), who once said she hopes President Trump is assassinated, compared Trump to Hitler in a meme posted on Twitter on Thursday.

The meme mocks a Dove soap ad that showed a black woman taking off of her shirt to reveal a white woman in a white shirt underneath.
Instead, Trump takes off his shirt to reveal that he’s Hitler underneath in the posted meme.
Chappelle-Nadal posted on Facebook in August, “I hope Trump is assassinated,” which led to papers around the state to call for her resignation.
The representative eventually earned an official censure from the Missouri State Senate in September for the comments:
The Missouri State Senate censured Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, a Democrat, for her August Facebook post calling for President Trump’s assassination in a historic first for the legislative body on Wednesday.
According to a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the vote to formally reprimand one their colleagues “was the first in Missouri Senate history.”
