During an interview on CBS’s This Morning, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager was asked about Bill Clinton’s comments regarding Obamacare. At a campaign rally in Saginaw, Michigan, Bill Clinton called Obamacare “the craziest thing in the world” and said that it was harming small businesses.
Mook tried to dodge the question by saying, “It’s a really an important question because this an issue that affects a lot of voters. Look, the important thing is that 20 million Americans have health insurance today because of the Affordable Care Act.”
CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell then pressed Mook on what Bill Clinton meant by his comments.
“Well, what he was referring to was the health care system, both as it used to be, and then sometimes what happens in some of these markets, where basically the market place skews the cost, this is exactly why we’ve got to do something about premium increases,” Mook told the panel.
