The Morning Joe crew sat in stunned disbelief after hearing the exchange between Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) in last night’s debate.
In Thursday night’s debate, Duckworth discussed her family’s history of military service. Kirk responded by saying:
“I’d forgotten that your parents came all the way from Thailand to serve George Washington.”
The Morning Joe crew sat in disbelief for a second. Host Joe Scarborough then said that Duckworth’s silence after the remark meant “[s]he was trying to figure out what Senate building office she was going to go to” when she wins.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski simply responded: “What?” She added her opinion that Duckworth won the debate.
