MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson and Mark Murray fact checked Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) claim that she never called for President Trump’s impeachment, the two found Waters’ claim to be laughable.
Earlier in the week, Waters appeared on MSNBC for an interview during which she told MSNBC’s Craig Melvin that she has never called for Trump’s impeachment.
Jackson asked Murray if Waters was simply splitting hairs.
“More than splitting hairs,” Murray told Jackson, then Murray proceeded to show multiple clips of Waters calling for President Trump’s impeachment including one from over weekend in which Waters led an “impeach 45” chant at a protest.
Murray concluded that it’s, “pretty clear [Waters] has called for President Trump’s impeachment.”
