Following revelations that the FBI offered the State Department a “quid pro quo” for reclassifying Hillary Clinton’s emails, the panel on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Tuesday ripped Clinton for her email practices.
“The reason we are here and the reason we are having this unbelievable conversation starts somewhere. So it doesn’t look good,” MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski told the panel, referring to Clinton’s private email server.
Joe Scarborough, interjected, “What do you mean? Hillary’s decision to have the private e-mail server?”
“I have always — it just doesn’t make any sense,” Brzezinski responded.
“Well, that’s the thing, this story is a hot mess. You can hardly untangle it,” Jim VandeHei told the panel. “The sin is the original sin. It’s setting up a server, moving classified information against precedent and advice, like that to me is what people have jumped on, pounced on and rightly ridiculed her for.”
“With Hillary Clinton, you know exactly what you are getting. There’s so much plotting, there’s so much scheming, there’s so much calculation, and that’s what got her into trouble,” VandeHei concluded.
