MSNBC’s Craig Melvin admitted President Trump had spent a fair about of time talking about race and the divisions that exist within America following an interview with the president.
Following Melvin’s interview with President Trump, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi asked Melvin about whether Trump understood that visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture wouldn’t be enough to heal the centuries-old divide.
“You know, the president, to his credit, has spent a fair amount talking about race, and the divisions that exist in this country,” Melvin told Velshi. “Some of his advisers have hinted, and indicated outright, that there would be some forthcoming action soon.”
Melvin went on to say, “the president has spent a fair amount of time talking about the problems that exist in this country.”
Many people were critical of President Obama for often appearing to avoid dealing with race relations in America.
