The panel on MSNBC’s Morning Joe was very critical of comments made by Senior Policy Advisor Stephen Miller over the weekend.
Miller said in an interview on CBS News’ Face the Nation that the president’s powers would not be questioned by the Judiciary.
President Trump effectively endorsed this notion, tweeting after Miller’s interviews, “Congratulations Stephen Miller- on representing me this morning on the various Sunday morning shows. Great job!”
Sen. Angus King (I-ME) and MSNBC co-host Mika Brzezinski were discussing what seemed like a systematic effort by the Trump Administration to delegitimize people and institutions that opposed the administration.
“There’s a pattern, and there seems to be an angle, and I am not going to say what it is because, Joe, you told me not to,” Brzezinski told the panel. “But I’ll tell you at some point we’re all going to have to say it, what this looks like.”
MSNBC host Joe Scarborough cautioned the panel not to get ahead of itself, and said that they should wait to see if the White House walks back the comments that Miller had made over the weekend.
If the White House doesn’t walk back Miller’s comments, Scarborough and Brzezinski seemed to be in agreement that the Trump Adminstration is in danger of proving his critics right.
