Pelosi was telling the audience about her first meeting with President Trump after he had been inaugurated, during which he told Pelosi that he had won the popular vote. The crowd started laughing at this claim.
This comment by Trump was immediately refuted by Pelosi who told Trump that this claim that false.
Pelosi told Reid that after this encounter with Trump, she “prayed for [Trump]. But more importantly, I prayed for the United States of America.”
