“Thank Congressman Tim Ryan for fighting to cut taxes for working families,” the ad says.
The conservative group American Action Network (AAN) is asking constituents of Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) to thank their congressman for his stance on tax reform.
A five-figure TV and digital ad buy are behind, “Agree,” the group’s first ad that applauds a Democrat.
“When it comes to reforming America’s outdated tax system, top Democrats agree,” the ad’s narrator begins.
Then a clip of Ryan is played from a recent interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“I think we need to simplify the tax code. I think we need to lower the corporate tax rate,” Ryan said during the interview. “We can’t just be the party of redistribution of wealth – we’ve got to be the party of creation of wealth.”
“Middle class tax cuts will get our economy moving again, and simpler, fairer taxes mean more jobs and higher take-home pay,” the narrator said.
“Thank Congressman Tim Ryan for fighting to cut taxes for working families,” the ad concluded.
