“Democrats’ Obamacare Lies,” highlights the multiple lies Senate Democrats told the American people to get Obamacare passed.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is out with a new ad titled “Democrats’ Obamacare Lies” that attacks at-risk Senate Democrats who are up for reelection in 2018 over their support of Obamacare, specifically Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL).
The ad starts by playing clips of Democratic senators touting the benefits that Obamacare was supposed to provide the American people, that have since been proven to be false.
The senators shown include Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Jon Tester (D-MT), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), Bill Nelson (D-FL), and Claire McCaskill (D-MO).
The ad then shifts to playing several clips of news reports regarding the false promises of Obamacare and reports of insurance companies pulling out of the Obamacare exchanges.
“It’s time to end the Obamacare nightmare” text appears on the screen before the ad concludes.
“As Democrats continue to grandstand without offering solutions, Bill Nelson’s broken promises are fresh on Floridians’ minds,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin in a statement regarding the ad. “Bill Nelson should be held accountable for being dishonest with voters and being complacent in Obamacare’s death spiral.”
The ad, which was released on Monday, will run statewide in Florida and continue throughout the month on Facebook. It is part of the NRSC’s new paid Facebook ad initiative that was launched earlier this month.
