The ad shows Senate Democrats rejoicing in their obstruction at the expense of the American people.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) released a new web ad on Friday titled, “Democrats Celebrate Suffering,” that contrasts Senate Democrats’ celebration after Republicans failed to repeal Obamacare to the suffering Americans still experience from skyrocketing premiums and fewer choices under Obamacare.
“While Americans are suffering…Democrats are celebrating,” the ad opens.
Then a clip from a CBS News report is played about how Americans could face significant rate hikes and have fewer health care plans to choose from in 2017.
This clip is followed by a clip of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) celebrating with protesters outside after Senate Democrats’ obstructionist strategy won out early Friday morning.
The RNC ad then plays a clip from a CBS News interview with someone talking paying $1,100 per month in insurance costs to cover his family of four. This is again followed by a clip of protesters celebrating.
The ad concludes with clips from news reports about Obamacare failing and juxtaposing them with pictures of Democrats celebrating.
