On Monday, the Senate Leadership Fund launched its third ad in North Carolina targeting Debra Ross. The ad, titled “Defend,” targets Ross for refusing to defend a disabled Vietnam veteran who wanted to fly an American flag. The ad points out Ross’ long history of protecting the rights of people who wanted to burn the flag.
“Defend” is part of a $9 million fall television campaign in North Carolina, and will start airing in the state today.
“Here’s all you need to know about left wing Deborah Ross: if you’re a sex offender or want to burn the American flag, she’ll go to bat for you. If you’re a disabled Vietnam veteran who wants to fly a flag, she couldn’t care less about your rights,” Senate Leadership Fund spokesman Ian Prior said in a statement.
