“There are so many things that we’ve actually done in the House that people just don’t know about,” Paul Ryan says in the ad.
A new ad from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), “The House at Work,” highlights the GOP’s unheralded legislative accomplishments. The NRCC released the ad Wednesday.
“There are so many things that we’ve actually done in the House that people just don’t know about,” House Speaker Paul Ryan says to begin the ad, pointing out that Congress has passed 300 bills already.
The ad features news reports on various pieces of legislation that, among other things, strengthen immigration enforcement and increase oversight at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
“More good paying jobs across different sectors means ‘America First’ is back,” a narrator says over impressive jobs numbers from President Trump’s first six months in office.
The ad then touts House efforts to increase defense spending and “rebuild our military.”
“The Republican majority has already taken major steps to improve our country,” the narrator says. “Help us protect our majority and keep the Congress working for you.”
