Asked if Hillary Clinton lost because of Russian hacks, President Obama instead criticized the media’s coverage of Clinton.
At his final press conference as president of the United States, Barack Obama was asked if his ally Hillary Clinton lost “because of the hacking” by Russian actors.
Obama started his answer by claiming he’ll leave analysis of the election to the pundits, but proceeded to criticize the media (and the pundits) who have analyzed that same election.
Obama said, of Clinton: “I don’t think she was treated fairly during the election.” He added that the media coverage of Clinton and the issues was “troubling.”
Later in his answer, Obama took a dig at media for portraying Democrats as “coastal, liberal, latte-sipping, politically correct, out-of-touch folks.”
Obama insisted that “we [Democrats] have the right argument.”
