Susan Rice: “I spent eight years actually reading the presidential daily briefing.”
Susan Rice, former national security advisor to President Obama, took a shot at President Trump while speaking at the Center for American Progress (CAP) 2017 Ideas Conference on Tuesday.
“It seems that the current administration looks at the world and sees only threats,” Rice told the audience.
“I fully recognize that we face serious threats,” Rice said. “I spent eight years actually reading the presidential daily briefing.”
At this comment, some in the audience started to laugh.
Democrats attacked President Trump for not receiving the daily intelligence briefing before he assumed office.
However, President Obama’s administration left America in a far less safe place in the world. His tenure saw the rise of the Islamic State, North Korea’s continued development of its nuclear program, the failed Iran nuclear deal, and the tragedy that is the Syrian civil war.
