October was another strong month of job growth for the U.S., as the country added 261,000 jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The Associated Press reported that it was a “robust” number, “as the economy recovered from hurricanes that slammed the Southeast in September.”

The economy has added 200,000 or more jobs in five of President Trump’s nine full months in office.

  • February 2017: 232K jobs added
  • March 2017: 50K jobs added
  • April 2017: 207K jobs added
  • May 2017: 145K jobs added
  • June 2017: 210K jobs added
  • July 2017: 138K jobs added
  • August 2017: 208K jobs added
  • September 2017: 18K jobs added
  • October 2017: 261K jobs added

Overall, the economy has added 1.47 million jobs in President Trump’s first nine months. The president has promised to create 25 million jobs in the next 10 years, a clip of 2.5 million new jobs a year.

The unemployment rate dropped to 4.1 percent, its lowest in over 10 years.
