Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said that he feels “very good” that the House will be able to pass the Republican tax reform plan by Thanksgiving during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”

Fox News’ Chris Wallace asked Ryan how confident he was that the House would meet the Thanksgiving deadline to pass tax reform. Wallace noted that it is only three weeks away.

“I feel very good about it. I think our members are very excited about this, we are pleased with what we rolled out and this is what we said we would do when we ran for office in 2016,” Ryan responded.

Ryan then explained that Republicans need to get tax reform done so that America can “get stronger economic growth.”

“Yes, we are on track for moving this through the House before Thanksgiving, that’s our plan. We expect our friends in the Senate to be about a week behind us,” Ryan concluded.
