The House Speaker believes McConnell will get the Senate health care bill through.
House Speaker Paul Ryan warned reporters not to bet against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the health care fight at a press conference on Tuesday.
“I would not bet against Mitch McConnell,” Ryan said. “He is very, very good at getting things done through the Senate, even with this razor-thin majority.”
Ryan said that he expected the Senate to pass the bill, given that Republicans campaigned on repealing Obamacare. Additionally, Ryan cited rising premiums and “evaporating” health care choices across the United States.
“They’ll get it done because they said they would get it done,” Ryan said of the health care law.
