The House speaker released a new video on Tuesday, promising to secure border wall funding.
House Speaker Paul Ryan released a full-throated endorsement of President Trump’s border wall in a video on Tuesday.
The title of the video, “The Wall: Let’s Get It Done,” signals that Ryan is committed to securing funding for one of the president’s signature promise.
“1,954 miles along America’s southern border,” the video says, “It’s time for the wall.”
Riding with border patrol in helicopters and on horseback, the speaker visited the southern border to see the fight against illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug-running up close.
“We’re going to get this done this week,” Ryan said.
The House passed a spending bill last week that includes $1.6 billion in funding for the proposed border wall, but getting the bill through the Senate could prove more difficult.
