The House Minority Leader called for the removal of the Attorney General due to his handling of the Comey firing.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Tuesday at the Center for American Progress Ideas Conference that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should no longer hold his office due to the administration’s dismissal of FBI Director James Comey.
Pelosi discussed the Trump-Russia investigation and its implications for the president’s agenda at the conference.
“I myself do not think the attorney general should be the attorney general. He’s already violated his recusal,” Pelosi said.
Sessions had recused himself from any matters related to the Russian investigation, but Pelosi believed his involvement in the firing of Comey broke his recusal.
