Pelosi Complains About Possibly Having to Work Until Christmas

The House Minority Leader apparently forgot how Democrats passed Obamacare back in 2010.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) complained about Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) “threat” to keep congress in session up until Christmas to get tax reform done.

“The Speaker said this morning he’ll keep us in until Christmas to do his tax cuts for the rich,” Pelosi said.

The California representative waved her hands and scrunched her face in annoyance.

“Why don’t we just stay in tomorrow and get moving on some of this so we can have a bipartisan discussion on how can we have real tax reform that creates good-paying jobs, reduces the deficit, and grows our economy instead of making threats about the Christmas holiday?” Pelosi asked.

Currently, the House is scheduled to leave for Christmas break on December 14, eleven days before the holiday. Pelosi apparently seemed willing to trade one Friday to save ten days of congressional vacation.

Pelosi also seems to forget former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) move to force through Obamacare on Christmas Eve.
