At a press conference on Friday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) did not want to discuss Donna Brazile’s recent allegations that the Hillary Clinton campaign rigged the 2016 Democratic presidential primary against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

“You haven’t heard me relitigate last year’s election,” she responded, incredulously, to a question on the allegations.

“I wasn’t involved in the presidential [primary],” Pelosi claimed. “I’m only looking forward. This is about the future.”

The House minority leader told reporters she had not looked at Brazile’s claims “other than the little tape running across the screens” on news broadcasts.

The reporter pointed out that Pelosi was “directly involved” in the DNC.

“No, I wasn’t!” she quickly shot back, annoyed.

The reporter then cited the fact that Pelosi is a large fundraiser for the national Democratic Party, and Brazile alleged that the Hillary Clinton campaign exercised an outsized amount of influence on the DNC funds.

Pelosi couldn’t help bragging at this fact, perhaps admitting in the process that she was involved in some of the fundraising scandal.

“I am [a big fundraiser for the party],” she said. “The biggest.”

The House minority leader then concluded the back-and-forth by saying she was focused on the future and not on “what happened” in the 2016 election.
