The former Speaker of the House doesn’t sound too confident that if Republicans repeal Obamacare, she will be returning to her old job in 2018.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t say whether she believed Democrats would retake the House if they are successful in repealing Obamacare during her weekly press conference on Thursday.
A reporter asked Pelosi if she thought today’s vote on repealing Obamacare would cost the Republicans their majority in the 2018 midterm elections.
“This isn’t about politics,” Pelosi responded.
Pelosi said it would be up to the American people to decide which party would be in the majority after the 2018 midterms.
From Pelosi’s answer, it doesn’t appear she is all that confident that Democrats will be able to take back the majority in 2018.
