Podesta thinks that the Clinton campaign could have done more in Wisconsin, but threw everything they had at Pennsylvania.
John Podesta told Politico‘s Susan Glasser that every day President Trump proves he is “temperamentally unfit, and unqualified to be president,” during an interview on The Global POLITICO.
Glasser asked Podesta about pushback the Clinton campaign has received about its claim that FBI Director James Comey played a significant factor in Hillary Clinton’s election loss, citing how people say the campaign didn’t spend enough resources in states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
“I think, you know, we could have – we can go at this state by state; I think we threw everything we could at Pennsylvania, and ultimately, came up short,” Podesta told Glasser.
Podesta continued: “my own personal view is we probably should have done more in Wisconsin. We didn’t advertise there until the very end. But you know, at the end of the day, we lost Pennsylvania anyway, and we had thrown everything we could at Pennsylvania.”
Podesta then cited how the Clinton campaign had successfully convinced 60 percent of the American people that President Trump “was temperamentally unfit, and unqualified to be president.”
“I think they just decided, you know, they wanted, you know, radical change to the system, and they were willing to take a flier on the president,” Podesta said. “I think a lot of those people probably regret that at this point, because the – every day, he proves that he is temperamentally unfit to be president of the United States.”
