A new poll found Democrat Jon Ossof and Repubilcan Karen Handel neck-and-neck in the race to replace former Rep. Tom Price…
A newly released poll of 500 voters in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District found a very tight race with less than three weeks to go until the runoff.
The poll found Democrat Jon Ossoff, the 30-year-old former congressional staffer, with 49.1 percent, while Republican Karen Handel, Georgia’s former secretary of state, with 47.6 percent.
The poll, conducted by Landmark Communications, found just 3 percent of voters are undecided and has a 4.38 percent margin of error. WSB-TV had a breakdown on the demographics:
Ossoff leads with younger voters, age 18-39, while Handel has the edge with voters older than 65.
Male voters tend to go more for Handel, and female voters tend to support Ossoff.
The two candidates are expected to debate one another next week.
