A new Marquette Law School poll shows Wisconsinites’ view of the Democrat is trending in the negative direction…
A poll released Wednesday afternoon by Marquette University Law School showed Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) with an even approval rating from Wisconsin voters.
The poll found 38 percent of voters approve of Baldwin’s work as senator while another 38 percent disapprove:
Sen. Tammy Baldwin: 38% approval, 38% disapproval. In March, it was 40%-35%. #mulawpoll

As the tweet noted, Baldwin was “above water” in March, with a 40 approval to 35 disapproval rating from Wisconsinites.
Interestingly, Baldwin’s struggle with the truth has run concurrent with this downward trend in her approval rating. Fact checkers at PolitiFact found that the senator inaccurately attacked President Trump earlier this month.
Back in May, PolitiFact rated claims Baldwin made about voter suppression as “False.”
In fact, Baldwin has not had a statement rated “True” by the fact checking service since before Trump became president.
Is there a correlation between voters’ increasingly negative view of Baldwin and her repeated false statements? Future polling data may be able to shed some light.
Baldwin is up for reelection in 2018.
