“Their theme is resist. Their theme should be let’s get together,” Trump said during an interview on Sunday.
President Donald Trump said that the American people do not want this theme of “resistance” that the Democrats are supporting, but rather they want both parties to work together, during an interview with “Fox and Friends” on Sunday.
Fox News’ Pete Hegseth asked Trump about claims that former President Obama is leading the resistance against his administration.
Trump told Hegseth that he doesn’t think Obama is leading any such resistance, and that other people are leading the resistance against his administration.
“That is a terrible word,” Trump told Hegseth about the word resistance. “Their theme is resist. Their theme should be let’s get together.”
“The problem is they’ve become obstructionists,” Trump concluded. “I think it is a terrible theme in terms of getting elected, and more importantly I think it’s a terrible thing for the people of this country, resist, obstruction. That’s not what they want.”
