President Trump said he would like to have a great relationship with Russia and China during a joint press conference with the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Theresa May on Friday.
Reuter’s Steve Holland asked Trump about an upcoming call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and whether he would be lifting U.S. sanctions against Russia.
“Well, I hear a call was set up, Steve, and we’ll see what happens. As far as the actions, [it’s] very early to be talking about that,” Trump said. “If we could have a great relationship with Russia, and with China, and with all countries, I’m all for that. It would be a tremendous asset.”
