Touting his own business acumen, President Trump met with and praised small business leaders at the White House on Monday morning.
Trump cited his dealings with Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, and the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines as evidence that he has worked to produce a business-friendly enviornment in the United States.
“Where was the outrage of the Democrats when all of our companies were fleeing to Mexico and to other places far away and leaving jobs behind? Now they’re all coming back,” Trump said, referencing what he earlier mocked as faux indignation in response to his immigration executive orders.
Trump also alluded to his meetings with auto CEOs and labor leaders, saying that both groups described their meetings as “one of the greatest meetings” they have ever had.
