Even socialist and left-wing liberal hero Bernie Sanders couldn’t be bothered to show up…
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) hosted its annual “boot camp” this week in Washington, D.C. The four-day “training” focused on teaching far-left liberals how to ask for money, make logos, and purchase website domains.
But while the training boasts attendees “learned how to build fundraising ads for Facebook based off the online fundraising success of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.),” the progressive icon couldn’t be bothered to attend the event:
Sanders had to cancel his planned lunchtime keynote address.
But the sadness didn’t stop there. The Mic News profile of the event focused on Jim Keady, a leftwing liberal charitably described as a “long shot.” Keady is challenging Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), a Republican so beloved in his district that he hasn’t dipped below 60 percent in any race since the early 1980s. In 2016, Smith won by a 30-point margin.
Despite the training at the PCCC, Keady was indignant. “We should concede no territory,” Keady reportedly said of his race. “I am unapologetically bold and progressive.”
Keady’s unapologetically bold and progressive platform will undoubtedly be the reason voters soundly reject him next fall.
