The Senate Finance Committee had to reassess a hearing regarding the Graham-Cassidy health care bill early because protesters erupted into chants and had to escorted out by Capitol police officers on Monday.
“No cuts to Medicaid, save our liberty,” demonstrators repeatedly shouted at the start of the committee hearing.
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), who chairs the committee, had to call for a recess until Capitol police could remove the protesters.
