The EPA head praised the president and the administration for going against the establishment.
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt praised President Trump and the administration as a whole for its decision to pull out of the Paris Agreement and put America first on Wednesday.
Pruitt listed Trump’s actions like the Paris pullout and ending Obama-era “overreaches” like the clean power plan.
“To take on what’s been baked in the media for the last 10 to 15 years around these issues, it takes tremendous courage, tremendous fortitude, to ignore the noise and stay focused,” Pruitt said.
“He’s putting America first,” he added. “When was the last time we had a president put America first?”
Pruitt said that the United States could “achieve both growth and also be good stewards of our environment.”
