The race replace Ryan Zinke, Trump’s new interior secretary, is starting to take shape…
While much attention has been focused on the special election to replace Tom Price in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District, another important race is largely flying under the radar.
A new poll in the Montana at-large congressional seat shows Republican Greg Gianforte leading musician Rob Quist. Republicans hope Gianforte, the GOP gubernatorial candidate in Montana last cycle, can replace Ryan Zinke, Trump’s pick to lead the Department of the Interior.
The Gravis Marketing poll of 1,222 Montana “individuals” shows Gianforte with a 12-point lead on Quist, 50-38. Seven percent of respondents said they were uncertain, while another five percent said they are backing other candidates. The poll was conducted via “interactive voice responses and internet responses of cell phone users” and was weighted to match state demographics.
Montana voters go to the polls on May 25.
