Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said that “a whole lot” of people will die if Republicans are successful in repealing ObamaCare during a town hall hosted by MSNBC on Monday.
MSNBC’s Chris Hayes asked Sanders what the legislation that’s proposed right now would do to the folks in McDowell County, given just how many people are enrolled in Medicaid.
“If Obamacare is repealed, we are looking at hundreds of thousands of people who got Medicaid extension losing that. And how many of those folks will die?” Sanders asked. “It is a lot. I don’t know exactly, but it is a whole lot,” Sanders replied.
