“Sen. Richard Burr is taking this issue very seriously.”
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) applauded the work of Republican senators, specifically Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), regarding the Senate’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during a CNN town hall on Tuesday.
“In the Senate, I think you have some serious efforts,” Sanders said.
Sanders continued, “I think you’ve got Richard Burr, who’s a conservative Republican, working with Mark Warner. But I think Richard is taking this issue very seriously.”
“I think they’re trying to expedite the process, move it along as quickly as they possibly can,” Sanders added. “So hopefully we can maintain bipartisanship on the Intelligence Committee in the Senate, hopefully in the House, as well, and then, in my view, move forward with a special prosecutor, as well.”
