Scarborough said Tuesday that "the Democratic Party failed" to effectively organize a ground game to fight for the GA-06 special congressional election.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Tuesday that “the Democratic Party failed” to effectively organize a ground game to fight for the GA-06 special congressional election.

“There’s not a ground game here like you would expect,” Scarborough said. “Even [Ossoff’s] office when they were interviewing him, that didn’t even look as bustling.”

Scarborough said that the operation in GA-06 “should look like a presidential campaign,” but he found their effort lacking.

If Ossoff didn’t pull out the win, “there is only one way to score this – as a massive Democratic loss,” he added. “In a district Trump only won by one point, that means you have not made one percentage point of progress through all the chaos of the first 100 days.”

Scarborough described the race as either “a huge win or a huge loss” for both Democrats or Republicans.

Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff has been reinforced by out-of-district, Hollywood support, but polls have shown him well under the necessary threshold to win the race outright.
