Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told CNN he respected Democrats who plan on boycotting Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
“I respect where they’re coming from, there have been so many irregularities in this, most of all Russian interference, so I respect where they’re coming from,” Schumer told CNN’s Manu Raju.
Raju followed up by asking Schumer if he would urge Senate Democrats to attend the ceremony.
“I want each person to make his or her own decision,” Schumer responded.
So far 47 Democrats in Congress have announced they will be boycotting Trump’s inauguration.
