During and interview on MSNBC, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, couldn’t say if he is comfortable with Donald Trump’s foreign policy.
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski pressed Corker on the issue four times. Corker dodged all four variations of the question saying his job “was not to be the referee on the presidential campaign.”
This was the closest Corker came to answering Brzezinski’s questions: “I do believe that Donald Trump is growing in his understanding of these issues. I think that he’s beginning to get more and more people around him that have a depth of understanding as to the complexities, and I’m watching this evolve. And look, we’ll all make our assessments at the end of October and early November as to whether we have faith or not.”
