Kelli Ward is using a tragedy to raise money while simultaneously attacking her primary opponent, who was on-site at the shooting.
Sen. Jeff Flake’s (R-AZ) primary opponent Kelli Ward is using the tragic events that took place on Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Va., to both fundraise and attack Flake, who was at the congressional baseball practice that a lone gunman targeted.
The email’s subject line reads, “GOP Whip Steve Scalise shot by gunman at baseball practice.”
The very first line of the email is an attack on Flake: “THE #NEVERTRUMP GLOBALISTS ARE RALLYING TO DEFEND ONE OF THEIR MOST PROMINENT MEMBERS… SANCTUARY SENATOR JEFF FLAKE”
By all accounts, Flake was one the first people to help House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA)., who was critically wounded from a bullet that hit his hip.
The bottom of the email provides a brief bio about Ward and features a donate button. The email was paid for by Ward for Senate.
