“C’mon Chuck,” one Senator repeatedly yelled at him.
As Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer attempted to organize Senate Democrats for a press conference opposing the GOP health care plan, members of his conference taunted him in front of the camera on the Capitol steps on Tuesday.
Schumer ordered some of the Senators to move back up the steps. Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) yelled in response, “We’re just trying to get inside of the TV screen.”
“C’mon Chuck! C’mon Chuck!” another Senator began yelling.
The Democrat senators were carrying large photographs of those who would be affected by the GOP health care bill.
Schumer was not holding his picture as he walked up to the podium, and the two senators continued to ridicule him.
“Bring the picture with you,” the other Senator yelled.
“Share the picture, Chuck,” Warner said.
