“I think they would like to see the end of the state of Israel,” Jake Sullivan told the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Jake Sullivan who served as a senior advisor to the Obama administration for the Iran nuclear negotiations said that Iran would like to “see the end of the state of Israel,” during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Wednesday.
Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) asked Sullivan whether he believes it is just rhetoric or is it Iran’s policy when the Ayatollah says he wants to destroy Israel.
Sullivan attempted to dodge to question before Poe interjected forcing Sullivan to choose between rhetoric or policy.
“I think they would like to see the end of the state of Israel,” Sullivan responded.
