The comedy show poked fun at the romantic tension between the show’s newly engaged co-hosts.
Saturday Night Live mocked Morning Joe co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough for the on-air romantic tension between the two newly engaged anchors in their opening skit.
The skit showed Brzezinski (played by Kate McKinnon) and Scarborough (played by Alex Moffat) debating the Republican health care plan before breaking down into suggestive dialogue and actions.
The two then cut to various, horrified, and confused contributors looking on at the two hosts.
The skit also mocked President Trump (played by Alec Baldwin), who, appearing over the phone, falsely identified himself as Trump’s spokesman, “John Miller.” The segment spoofed Trump’s reported earlier habit of calling reporters as his publicist, “John Barron.”
