A speaker at the May Day protest in Washington, D.C. compared the United States justice system to human trafficking, referred to police officers as pigs, and bragged about robbing from a business during a speech on Monday.
May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, was chosen by Socialists and Communists groups as a day of worldwide protest to promote their political agenda.
The speaker read the legal definition of human trafficking and then asked the crowd if that sounded similar to the prison system in the United States.
“I’ve been sitting here studying these pigs,” the speaker said before launching into a tirade about police officers.
Many leading Democratic groups will be participating in May Day marches that are taking place across America.
