Heather Nauert said that the secretary of state is committed to his job.
Despite rumors to the contrary, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has no intention of resigning, calling those reports “false.”
“[Tillerson] intends to stay here at the State Department,” Nauert said. “We have a lot of work that is left to be done ahead of us.”
“Everyone loves to report on palace intrigue stories,” she added. “The secretary is committed to staying, and I’ll leave it at that.”
Anonymous sources told CNN that Tillerson is considering resigning before the end of the year.
