Rumors of Bannon’s departure had persisted for weeks, and Trump finally pulled the trigger Friday afternoon.
The former chief strategist’s future is unclear, but indications are that the former Breitbart executive will return to the far-right news site. Employees of the site have expressed dismay at their ideological guide being removed from the White House, with one editor promising “war” and Breitbart proclaiming Trump “Arnold Schwarzenegger 2.0:”
