Following the vice presidential debate, Hillary Clinton supporter Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) appeared on CNN to discuss the contest between Mike Pence and Tim Kaine.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked McAuliffe why Pence was the perceived winner of the debate in a CNN poll, which was, in Cuomo’s words, “overweighted” with Democrats.
“I guess some people are watching it and, you know listen – I do say Governor Pence, I had a good relationship with him. I think he had, I think a cool demeanor. I think some people watch that,” McAuliffe told Cuomo. The Virginia governor then proceeded to attack Donald Trump, never giving a clear answer as to why Pence was seen as the winner.
